There's a new kid on the block.
I have seen Hannibal Buress countless times and have been a fan since the early 80's. I have yet to see a poor performance by the iconic thrash metal legends.
In my opinion, Havok is the new "King of the Hill" in the thrash metal arena. Their live performance is second to none, and the songwriting is intelligent and thought-provoking. Their showmanship and musicianship had the whole house rocking from the first crushing note to the final refrain.
Children of Bodom were boring and lifeless. I felt like I was watching a still photograph projected on a screen while a recorded track played. I've seen them at least a half dozen times, and if I never see them again, that will suit me just fine.
Be sure to get there in time to see Havok if you go see this show. You will not be disappointed.
